Our use of Friction welding is among our most important innovations. This allows us to create joints even between different materials, such as carbon steels and stainless steels.
The secret? An entirely mechanical process, without the use of an external welding material and without the process of fusion. In this way, we avoid generating dangerously porous and fragile areas, impurities, cracks and breaks.
One of the two components is placed in rotation and pushed into contact with the other in order to produce heat through friction.
The process is completed with the stoppage of the relative motion, and the application of a greater pressure (forging) that produces a complete and homogeneous welding, which is reliable even in the case of continuous, heavy-duty stress.
This kind of welding is also economically advantageous, considering the savings on raw materials and processing, and the reduction of production time.
